REPRESENTATION

Political representation is a precious civil liberty, one which all citizens should cherish and preserve. The concept of individuals making a concerted effort to create a better community is what makes this nation great. It takes a dedicated elected official to hear the views of their constituents, and to be an effective legislator to ensure those views are represented in Raleigh.

You can measure representation in many different ways. A more subtle alternative to "Are you happy?" would be, "Are your political views being represented?” As your representative I will ensure that all my constituents have a seat at the table. We cannot afford to maintain the status quo; it is time for effective leadership and accountability.

I want to be your voice to Raleigh and not a voice from Raleigh. For too many years we have allowed our elected officials go to the state capitol and fail to represent our ideas and values. I am running for office because I believe in the power of the individual as a collective to make change. As your representative it will be my job to create an environment that allows for individuals to the create power, to better their family, neighbors, and community.

Since the beginning of this campaign I have been travelling our district and listening to the concerns of our fellow citizens. As your representative, I will be proud to represent those concerns to the state legislator. This campaign is about representing your values, your ideas, your concerns. This campaign is about YOU!
